MLEAD’s Leadership development and education seeks to holistically grow students’ knowledge, skills, and confidence through experiential-learning and reflection to further prepare students to engage in leadership processes and roles.
Our programs are:
- A dialogue:
- Our programs are intended to be interactive and require participants to practice active and present participation. Facilitators are here as guides not to necessarily impart knowledge upon you
- A mutual exploration:
- Although Maryland LEAD has a perspective of what leadership looks like, the participants perspective of leadership and how they want to practice leadership in their communities is just as important. Leadership looks different for everyone. So, let's explore everyone's view. You might learn something new from someone you didn't expect to.
- A process:
- You may not leave our programs as experts on leadership but you will gain some tools and skills you need to help continue growing should you choose to do so.
- Leadership development is a continuous life-long process
