Native & Indigenous Student Involvement
Native & Indigenous Student Involvement and Advocacy
Native & Indigenous Student Involvement focuses on engaging, supporting, and fostering understanding for our diverse Indigenous and Native communities. In addition to Native and First Nations people, Indigenous identities span cultures around the world, including (but not limited to) Native Hawaiian, Indigenous South American, and the global communities of the Arctic Circle. We invite those who identify with indigeneity to connect with us. We also seek to educate the UMD community about Indigenous community, history and culture, and are committed to the creation and maintenance of a campus environment where Native/Indigenous identities and issues are affirmed and supported.
