How can I get involved?

The best way to get involved is to join the Native American and Indigenous Student Union (NAISU)- additional information can be found under the Student Organizations tab. You can also volunteer to be a part of the Native & Indigenous Heritage Month (NIHM) planning committee at the beginning of the fall semester by contacting us at mica-contact@umd.edu and may consider taking the following courses

Do I have to identify as Native/Indigenous to get involved?

No! All are welcomed who would like to better understand the historical and modern conditions of Native/Indigenous people and to experience and celebrate the native cultures of the Americas.
