Student Leadership and Organization Support
Interfaith and Spiritual Diversity strives to support student organizations and interfaith leadership. We offer a number of resources to support students and student organizations including advising, advocacy, co-sponsorships, and leadership development. Please contact MICA to arrange a one-on-one meeting with a staff person to discuss possibilities.
Find a Faith Community
University of Maryland is home to a diverse group of faith communities and a number of off-campus religious centers. Numerous opportunities exist on and off campus for worship and religious involvement.
We currently have 14 recognized university chaplaincy programs who are available to provide leadership, counseling and support to students. To get in contact with a specific chaplaincy program check out the Chaplaincies website.
To find religious student organizations go to OrgSync and search under the category religious.
Memorial Chapel, Garden and Labyrinth
The Memorial Chapel is home to 14 official chaplaincies representing different faith traditions. It is also the location of the Garden of Reflection and Remembrance and Labyrinth-- a tool for meditation and contemplation. An interfaith community art project, The Tree of Life, can be found in the Garden Chapel.

Additionally, the chapel has a small grant available for students and student organizations holding programs in the Garden and Labyrinth. Apply for up to $250 to supplement rentals, honoraria, supplies, marketing and food. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Please contact dmchugh@umd.edu for more information.
