Hana is a biracial, mixed-generation Ethiopian American originally from Portland, OR, who now calls Maryland home. Hana earned her BA in International Relations from Gonzaga University, and an MA in Higher Education, Student Affairs, and International Education Policy here at the University of Maryland, College Park. Hana is passionate about social justice education, disability justice, reading cozy science fiction, and her cat Leota.

Community Organizing Student Intern for SWANA Student Involvement
Reem is an Information Science major and will be graduating in May 2025. She joined the MICA office in Fall 2024 as the SWANA COSI, aiming to become more involved with the SWANA community on campus and connect with her Syrian and Egyptian heritage. She is committed to supporting SWANA students and helping to reshape the narrative surrounding SWANA identities. In her free time, Reem enjoys creative activities, including painting, drawing, and Arabic calligraphy.
