Alex Mullen
Coordinator, Leadership Development and Restorative Practices
ajmul@umd.eduAlex Mullen (He/Him) is the Coordinator for Leadership Development and Restorative Practices. He engages students in events and opportunities to encourage restorative community building and share diverse perspectives on leadership. His programs aim to uplift and inform student leaders, help student leaders manage conflict, and equip the next generation of leaders with skills in interpersonal relations.
Alex earned his M.Ed in Higher Education, Student Affairs, and International Education Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2023. In addition, Alex has earned a professional certificate in Restorative Justice Facilitation from the University of San Diego. Prior to his time at UMD, Alex grew up in Lansing, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where he graduated with a BA in Film and Media Studies in 2020.
Prior to joining LCSL, Alex supported Latine students through roles in higher education and educational nonprofits. In his free time, Alex enjoys basketball, video games, reading, weightlifting, photography, and cooking.
