Freddie Dufresne
Graduate Coordinator
Freddie Dufresne (they/them) is MICA’s Graduate Coordinator for LGBTQ+ Student Involvement & Advocacy while studying in UMD’s Student Affairs Master’s Program. As a Graduate Coordinator, they form a planning committee for LGBTQ+ History month programming and coordinate LGBTQ+ History Month events in collaboration with the LGBTQ+ Equity Center as well as advise LGBTQ+ students and student groups. Freddie graduated with a B.A. in foreign languages from Towson University, where they developed mentorship skills and a love of community building as a student employee of the TU Center for Student Diversity. They taught high school level Spanish classes for three and a half years and now hopes to bring lessons learned from supporting their students into their role.
Stefano Raffo
Community Organizing Student Intern (COSI)
Stefano (he/they/she) is majoring in Government & Politics and International Business and is expected to graduate in Spring 2026. They joined MICA in the fall of 2024 as the LGBTQ+ COSI hoping to be more involved in the community and provide others with important information about their rights and resources for queer people. Outside of MICA, they are also a passionate advocate on campus, being involved in various on-campus organizations. They serve as Vice President of Latina Pathways, a nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating the college application process for Latine students, Vice President of PLUMAS, an organization that advocates for Latine political action, and as Secretary for Terps for Bikelanes, which looks to increase micro mobility infrastructure on campus. In his free time, Stefano enjoys playing soccer in La Plata, reading non-fiction, watching movies, and cooking. If you have any questions, email her at mica-office@umd.edu.
