Events and Programs
Senior Council produces social and educational programs throughout the academic year. Here is an overview of annual programs:
First Look Fair: One of the longest running involvement traditions at the University of Maryland. Senior Council will have a table at this event where the "Kiss Me I'm a Senior" buttons will be distributed.
Senior T-Shirt Sales: Held during the beginning of the spring semester, t-shirt sales are Senior Council's primary fundraiser. The sales are generated automatically through an online platform.
Grad Fair: Held mid-semester each semester. Senior Council has a table, usually with information about upcoming events, senior buttons, and Commencement information.
Senior Week: A week of festivities in the fall and spring semesters. Events vary each semester, but historically include breakfast or ice cream giveaway, the "Senior Swagmobile" (a decorated golf cart where seniors spin a wheel to win prizes of various values), the President's Reception, sporting events (particularly Nats/Os games), Grad Bash, etc.
Senior Tailgate: Starting in 2015, the senior council organizes a tailgate commemorating the last home football game students can attend as a student.
