Deadline for Proposals: Friday, March 14, 2025
Notification for Acceptance: Friday, March 28, 2025
PLEASE SUBMIT TO: stampgallery@umd.edu
The Stamp Gallery invites University of Maryland students and student groups to submit proposals for curatorial projects for our Summer 2025 exhibition. Examples of past student-curated exhibitions can be found on our website at stamp.umd.edu/gallery.
We are seeking proposals for exhibitions that highlight emerging contemporary artists from Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC. The Stamp Gallery will provide a modest honorarium for participating artists, installation assistance for in-person exhibitions, marketing support, and resources for associated programming. Student curators will receive a $200 honorarium and will be responsible for communicating with the artists, overseeing installation and deinstallation, and writing the press release with the guidance of the Stamp Gallery Manager and Graduate Assistant. Accepted curators will also have the opportunity to solicit a call for entry for the exhibition or reach out to artists of interest with the support of Stamp Gallery staff.
Submissions are open to all University of Maryland students who are currently enrolled or have an expected graduation date in the 2024–2025 academic year. For questions about the submission guidelines, please contact us at stampgallery@umd.edu.
