PK-12 Tutoring & Mentoring Network

Increasing the Impact of UMD’s PK-12 Tutors and Mentors is a Do Good Campus Fund Project led by the College of Education and the Office of Leadership & Community Service-Learning in the Stamp Student Union. This project aims to spark cross-divisional collaboration, invest in human and physical resources to close PK-12 educational gaps, and meet articulated local and campus needs. By creating and convening a UMD Tutoring and Mentoring Network, we aim to establish opportunities for communication and collaboration, share high-impact resources, and host a symposium to enhance university efforts with schools and educational non-profits.

Join the Network

Are you involved with an organization, class, initiative at UMD that provides tutoring or mentoring to PK-12 students in the local community? We'd love to learn more about your work and how a campus-community network could strengthen your efforts. Connect with our network by emailing pk12tutoring@umd.edu

Attend the Symposium

On Friday March 28, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, we are bringing together UMD staff, faculty, and student leaders, alongside local educators, community partners, and administrators that engage in tutoring or mentoring efforts for PK-12 students in our area to hear from educational experts, workshop emerging practices from your programs, and build capacity through shared resources. The event will take place at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union, is free to participate in, and includes breakfast and lunch.
