Latine Heritage Month
LHM is celebrated from September 15th to October 15th!
Latine Heritage Month (LHM) at UMD is planned collaboratively between the MICA office, the Coalition of Latinx Student Organizations, and campus partners.
This year, the UMD LHM planning committee has selected the theme “Juntos Bajo El Sol Y La Luna”, Spanish for "Together Under The Sun & The Moon." This theme calls us to stand together in solidarity with community members every day and every night. Through times of joy and times of challenge alike, the theme calls on us to celebrate, care, and advocate for our family and neighbors. We must always remember that after the night falls, a new day will rise.
