Black History Month: Existence Is Resistance

February Celebrates Black History

We celebrate this Black History Month with all the ways that black people resist historic and ongoing systemic racism, discrimination, and exploitation. Our continued existence and community shows that to resist does not only mean we must endure violence, death, and brutality. Resistance is also found in the ways that we build community with each other, how we love each other, and how we prioritize our well-being and happiness. This Black History Month we recognize and celebrate that to live, is a radical act.
