We honor LGBTQ+ History Month with our open mic night in the longstanding queer tradition of reclaiming control over our own narratives, boldly speaking out against power, and using art as a vehicle for personal-political transformation.
This semester's Queer Open Mic will be held on the evening of Monday, October 23rd. The event begins at 6:00pm, but performers are encouraged to arrive between 5:30pm and 6:00pm for attendance, viewing the performance schedule, and reviewing set-up procedures.
Poets, singers, musicians, and performers of every kind are welcome. You will receive a confirmation email with more information closer to the event date.
This event is hosted by the Office of Multicultural Involvement and Community Advocacy (MICA).
