The site requirements and times for the following sites have been updated/added: A Wider Circle, Campus Pantry, Terp Farm, Seabury Resources for the Aging, Little Lights Urban Ministries, and Habitat ReStore. Terps for Change Volunteer Application Spring 2021

The Terps for Change Volunteer Application for the Spring Semester is now open!

Priority deadline for education volunteer sites: January 31st, 2021 at 11:59pm

Deadline for all other volunteer sites: February 7th, 2021 at 11:59pm

We have a limited amount of program space and sites fill up very quickly on a first-come, first-serve basis for new volunteers so apply below today!



Terps for Change is committed to connecting the university with the local community through sustained, collaborative, and meaningful community service-learning. By exploring the root causes through critical reflection and meaningful dialogue, we seek to better understand the systemic complexities of social issues and the action steps we can take to address them.

Terps for Change volunteers are required to:

    • make a minimum commitment of one academic semester
    • volunteer at least 2-3 hours per week
    • attend and actively engage in weekly dialogue events that focus on critical reflection, deeper understanding of service-learning, and movement towards social change


The application for Terps for Change can be found on TerpLink and is open to any UMD student.  All participants will need to complete an application and schedule an interview with a Terps for Change intern.

Loved your experience as a Terps for Change volunteer?? Apply to become a Terps for Change Coordinator! 

Terps for Change Coordinators lead dialogues with participants, coordinate with community partners, and learn about service and social issues. The application for Terps for Change Coordinators are opened toward the end of each semester.
